</strong>Pictured above is <strong>Steward Baylor winning<br />
GNCC Series Round 5, “The Mammoth,” Park City, KY</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/index.html"><strong>EBC Brakes</strong></a> would like to send their congratulations to <strong>Steward Baylor</strong> after receiving a <strong>well-deserved Wild Card invite</strong> to the<strong> X Games 18</strong> (at the Staples Centre on Sunday Jusy 1st 2012)</p>
<p>The <strong>X Games</strong> competition staff extends “Wild Card” invites to <strong>top racers from around the world</strong> and there is perhaps <strong>no rider more deserving of this than eighteen year old Steward Baylor</strong>.</p>
<p>The South Carolina resident <strong>won the 2011 Grand National Cross Country series XC 2 Pro class championship</strong> and has <strong>won five races of the first six races in 2012</strong>. On top of that, <strong>Baylor has won four out of five rounds</strong> thus far in the AMA National <strong>Enduro</strong> championship <strong>against a strong field of pro riders</strong>.<br />
Based on these results, <strong>Baylor</strong> has been invited to his first <strong>X Games Enduro X</strong>.</p>
<blockquote><p>The <strong>X Games</strong> is an amazing opportunity for these top racers to show off their skills in front of a huge live and television audience,</p></blockquote>
<p>stated Eric Peronnard, the creator of <strong>EnduroCross</strong> and <strong>X Games Enduro X Sports</strong> Organizer.</p>
<blockquote><p>I especially enjoy seeing the young or relatively unknown riders get introduced to the world,</p></blockquote>
<p>he continued.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/index.html"><strong>EBC Brakes</strong></a> sponsored <strong>Steward Baylor</strong> uses <strong><a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/index.html">EBC Brakes</a> <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/motorcycle_brake/sintered_brake_pads/extreme_pro_brake_pads/extremepro-motox.shtml">EPFA brake pads</a></strong>and <strong><a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/index.html">EBC Brakes</a> <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/motorcycle_brake/sintered_brake_pads/carbon_mx_tt_pads/index.shtml">CarbonTT/MX brake pads</a></strong>, with <strong><a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/index.html">EBC Brakes</a> <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/motorcycle_brake/oversize_mx_disc_rotor_kits/index.shtml">OS discs/ rotors</a></strong>.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/index.html">EBC Brakes</a> <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/motorcycle_brake/sintered_brake_pads/extreme_pro_brake_pads/extremepro-motox.shtml">EPFA brake pads</a></strong> are an <strong>ultra high friction sintered pad</strong> <strong>designed for fastest Enduro and Motocross race use</strong>. All rear fitment pads feature solid type radiator shims to <strong>minimize heat transfer</strong> made from laser cut stainless steel.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/motorcycle_brake/sintered_brake_pads/carbon_mx_tt_pads/index.shtml"><strong>Carbon TT/MX brake pads</strong></a> use a <strong>successful carbon graphite formula</strong> has been the choice of top <strong>Enduro</strong> riders <strong>for certain conditions around the world</strong>. <strong>The main advantage of this type of material is its lack of heat generation or conduction</strong>, which <strong>keeps both the rotor/disc and caliper cool.</strong> Top <strong>Enduro</strong> riders prefer this material for <strong>fast and dry riding conditions</strong>.</p>
<p>The optimum 280mm design on the <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/motorcycle_brake/oversize_mx_disc_rotor_kits/index.shtml"><strong>oversize brake discs/ brake rotors</strong> </a>gives significant improvement to stopping power of 30% but also improves <strong>brake modulation</strong> and <strong>brake control</strong> without the risk of &#8216;grounding&#8217; on excessively over diameter units. The <strong>brake discs</strong>/ <strong>brake rotors</strong> are quick and easy to fit with beautifully crafted brackets. The <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/motorcycle_brake/oversize_mx_disc_rotor_kits/index.shtml"><strong>oversize discs/ rotors</strong></a> are available for all recent modern <strong>motocross</strong> and <strong>Enduro</strong> machines.</p>
<p>If you want to see <strong>Steward Baylor</strong> mixing it up at <strong>X Games 18</strong>, you can go to the Staples Center on Sunday, July 1st or catch any of the other seven GEICO AMA <strong>EnduroCross</strong> events in 2012.</p>
<p>Round two of GEICO AMA <strong>EnduroCross</strong> championship will take place on Saturday, June 9th in the Power Balance Pavilion in Sacramento, California. It will be the first ever visit to Northern California for the series and the last chance for non-qualified riders to earn a coveted <strong>X Games</strong> invitation.</p>

<p>What is<strong> EnduroCross</strong>?<br />
<strong></strong>Known as the “<strong>toughest racing on two wheels</strong>,” you need <strong>tough brakes not cheap brakes</strong>, and <strong>brakes dont get tougher than <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/index.html">EBC Brakes</a></strong>!<br />
<strong>EnduroCross</strong> tracks incorporate various elements of extreme off road racing into a <strong>Supercross</strong>-style setting, <strong>including rocks, boulders, logs, sand, mud, a water-hole…and even a few special obstacles like giant tires thrown in</strong>!</p>

<blockquote><p>The season has for some month away started up and I have managed a few races with the new wonderful <strong>Yamaha WR450F</strong>.<br />
In late March I was in Germany and drove in their unofficial German<strong> Enduro</strong> Championship. I made a mistake in a time control, but if you watched the result without the error, I would have been fourth in the class.</p>
<p>After that trip I became ill and was it until the premiere of the Swedish <strong>Enduro</strong> championship. I could just go there and conduct the event. The result was 14th.</p>
<p>I have also managed to run a Division 1 Motocross competition where I placed myself as seventh and that feels okay.</p>
<p>The bike feels fantastic and I am now starting to build up for this weekend&#8217;s Swedish <strong>Enduro</strong> Championship, race number two. The contest is held in Enkoping on Saturday.</p>

<p><a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/">EBC Brakes</a> will be attending the <strong>6th annual Motion sport compact auto show and expo</strong>, the <strong>largest indoor sport compact trade and consumer show in America</strong>, on Sunday May 20th 2012 at the Long Beach convention centre.</p>
<p>Part of the 260,00 square feet of show space will be the <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/"><strong>EBC Brakes</strong></a> booth where members of the public can meet the team and get helpful advice. <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/"><strong>EBC Brakes</strong></a> are also in contention for the “<strong>People Choice Award for Manufacturer Of The Year</strong>” (to vote for your favourite manufacturer of the year please click <a href="http://www.motionautoshow.com/event/product_detail.cfm?intProductID=359 "><strong>here</strong></a>)</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/">EBC Brakes</a> produce the largest range of brake pads and brake discs in the world</strong>, with over 5000 part numbers for every type of moving vehicle. <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/"><strong>EBC Brakes</strong></a> are made in one of its two specialist factories in the <strong>UK </strong>and<strong> USA</strong>.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/"><strong>EBC Brakes</strong></a> ranges of <strong>brake pads</strong> vary from <strong>everyday road use</strong> to <strong>full race and track use</strong> only. The <strong>brake pad</strong> ranges are:</p>
<p><a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/automotive/ultimax_disc_brake_pads/index.shtml"><strong>Ultimax</strong></a>:<br />
<strong><a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/">EBC Brakes</a> <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/automotive/ultimax_disc_brake_pads/index.shtml">Ultimax</a></strong> black coated <strong>brake pads</strong> are a <strong>high friction premium quality friction material</strong> approved to ECE R90 brake safety regulations and as such are an exact equivalent to original equipment pads fitted to your vehicle from the factory &#8211; but for far less money.<br />
Don’t let the lower price point cloud your view of this superb quality product, these <strong>brake pads</strong> <strong>will stop your vehicle as fast as any original equipment pad and faster than most aftermarket pads</strong>. One brilliant feature of <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/"><strong>EBC Brakes</strong></a> R90 pads is their ability to completely eliminate brake judder and these pads will actually compensate for mild brake judder after 300-400 miles of use.<br />
Ideal for:<strong> Normal urban driving</strong>, <strong>school-run or commuter on car</strong>, <strong>truck or SUV</strong>.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/automotive/redstuff_brake_pads/redstuff_brake_pads.shtml"><strong>Redstuff</strong></a>:<br />
There are two reasons <strong>our customers love <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/">EBC Brakes</a> <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/automotive/redstuff_brake_pads/redstuff_brake_pads.shtml">Redstuff brake pads</a></strong>. First because they are the lowest dust <strong>brake pads</strong> we have encountered by reducing dust by 60-90%. Plus the minimal dust you see is very easily removed with a simple sponge wash, as it contains no steel fibre particles. Second they <strong>brake right from cold (as good as Original pads or better) and just get better as they heat up</strong>.<strong> </strong><br />
Ideal for: <strong>Faster street use on muscle cars</strong> (slight rotor wind noise acceptable).<br />
Also<br />
Ideal for: <strong>Low dust street use on prestige imports</strong> (silent braking required).</p>
<p><a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/automotive/greenstuff_brake_pads/index.shtml"><strong>Greenstuff</strong></a>:<br />
The <strong><a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/">EBC Brakes</a> <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/automotive/greenstuff_brake_pads/index.shtml">Greenstuff</a></strong> range are the<strong> <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/automotive/greenstuff_brake_pads/greenstuff_brake_pads_2000.shtml">2000</a>, <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/automotive/greenstuff_brake_pads/greenstuff_brake_pads_6000.shtml">6000</a></strong>and the <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/automotive/greenstuff_brake_pads/greenstuff_brake_pads_7000.shtml"><strong>7000</strong></a> series.<br />
The <strong><a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/">EBC Brakes</a> <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/automotive/greenstuff_brake_pads/greenstuff_brake_pads_2000.shtml">Greenstuff</a></strong><a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/automotive/greenstuff_brake_pads/greenstuff_brake_pads_2000.shtml"> <strong>2000 series</strong></a> are designed for <strong>premium street driving</strong> offering better brake effect up to 600°C (1100°F). <strong><a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/">EBC Brakes</a> <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/automotive/greenstuff_brake_pads/index.shtml">Greenstuff</a></strong> has a <strong>high initial brake effect and gives drivers confidence from first application of the brake pedal</strong>.<br />
Ideal for: <strong>Spirited street use on sport compact or import sedan</strong> (Hot Hatch).</p>
<p>The <strong><a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/">EBC Brakes</a> <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/automotive/greenstuff_brake_pads/greenstuff_brake_pads_6000.shtml">Greenstuff</a></strong><a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/automotive/greenstuff_brake_pads/greenstuff_brake_pads_6000.shtml"> <strong>6000 series</strong></a> are an <strong>excellent solution for 4&#215;4 use</strong>, this<a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/automotive/greenstuff_brake_pads/greenstuff_brake_pads_6000.shtml"> <strong>heavy duty Greenstuff</strong></a> formulation has slightly lower friction than its<strong> <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/automotive/greenstuff_brake_pads/greenstuff_brake_pads_2000.shtml">2000 series</a></strong> counterpart (average friction coefficient 0.45mm) but <strong>has the benefit of longer life and better resistance to offroad conditions of dust and sand</strong> etc. For a small price premium over the <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/automotive/greenstuff_brake_pads/greenstuff_brake_pads_6000.shtml"><strong>6000 series</strong></a>,<strong> the <strong><a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/">EBC Brakes</a> <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/automotive/greenstuff_brake_pads/greenstuff_brake_pads_7000.shtml">Greenstuff</a></strong><a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/automotive/greenstuff_brake_pads/greenstuff_brake_pads_7000.shtml"> 7000 series brake pads</a> are the ultimate SUV/4&#215;4 front end brake pad</strong>. They will <strong>stop faster and last longer</strong> with almost zero brake dust and are <strong><a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/">EBC Brakes</a> premium offering for heavy 4x4s</strong>.<br />
Ideal for: Truck, 4&#215;4 and SUV modest brake upgrade with lowest dust.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/automotive/yellowstuff_brake_pads/index.shtml"><strong>Yellowstuff</strong></a>:<br />
The <strong><a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/">EBC Brakes</a> <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/automotive/yellowstuff_brake_pads/index.shtml">Yellowstuff</a></strong>range comes in two forms the <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/automotive/yellowstuff_brake_pads/yellowstuff_brake_pads_4000_index.shtml"><strong>4000 series</strong></a> and the <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/automotive/yellowstuff_brake_pads/yellowstuff_truck_brake_pads.shtml"><strong>Truck and SUV</strong></a>.<br />
The <strong><a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/">EBC Brakes</a> <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/automotive/yellowstuff_brake_pads/yellowstuff_brake_pads_4000_index.shtml">Yellowstuff 4000 series</a></strong> is an aramid fibre based brake compound with <strong>high brake effect</strong> from cold and is a compound that<strong> can be used for street and track driving</strong>. These <strong>brake pads</strong> <strong>do not require warm up</strong> but do get <strong>even stronger under the heat</strong> of hard driving.<br />
When <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/"><strong>EBC Brakes</strong></a> <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/automotive/yellowstuff_brake_pads/yellowstuff_brake_pads_4000_index.shtml"><strong>Yellowstuff</strong></a> see some heat they really show their pedigree. On <strong>Japanese cars built with lower friction FF rated pads</strong> these deliver a full grade<strong> higher stopping</strong> and on <strong>German cars built with GG</strong> these are about the <strong>only aftermarket brake pads that will match or beat the pretty good German OE spec brake pads</strong> and that takes some doing. When <strong>considering full race use</strong>,<strong> <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/automotive/yellowstuff_brake_pads/yellowstuff_brake_pads_4000_index.shtml">Yellowstuff</a> has to be a strong favourite</strong>, for <strong>longer races <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/automotive/ebc_disc_pads_for_racing/index.shtml">Bluestuff</a></strong> may be <strong>required for durability purposes</strong>.<br />
Ideal for:<strong> Fastest street</strong> and<strong> track use</strong>, <strong>trackday</strong>, <strong>time trials</strong> and <strong>drifting</strong> in any size or weight of car (on or off road).</p>
<p>The <strong><a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/">EBC Brakes</a> <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/automotive/yellowstuff_brake_pads/yellowstuff_truck_brake_pads.shtml">Yellowstuff Truck and SUV series</a></strong> are a <strong>ultra high friction brake pads</strong> for <strong>US built trucks and 4&#215;4 vehicles</strong>. If you want <strong>improved stopping power with just a pad change</strong>, this is the perfect <strong>brake pad</strong> choice. This refined version of the famous <strong><a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/">EBC Brakes</a> <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/automotive/yellowstuff_brake_pads/yellowstuff_brake_pads_4000_index.shtml">Yellowstuff race formulation</a></strong> is now available in <strong>brake pad</strong> designs to fit popular <strong>American trucks/pick-ups</strong> and many <strong>Asian and European built 4x4s</strong>.<br />
Ideal for: <strong>Truck, 4&#215;4 and SUV maximum stopping for towing and loads</strong> etc.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/automotive/ebc_disc_pads_for_racing/index.shtml"><strong>Bluestuff</strong></a>:<br />
<a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/automotive/ebc_disc_pads_for_racing/index.shtml"><strong>Bluestuff NDX</strong></a> is a <strong>high friction sport and race material</strong> that can be used for <strong>aggressive street drivin</strong>g and certain <strong>types of track use</strong>. The material <strong>has had much success on the track</strong> with quality aftermarket calipers and limited success with street based calipers where pad size and caliper drag can challenge any brake material.<br />
<strong>The biggest advantage of <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/">EBC Brakes</a> <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/automotive/ebc_disc_pads_for_racing/index.shtml">Bluestuff NDX</a></strong> is the bite from cold and progressive brake feel and the <strong>ability to bring a car to a complete stop</strong>. This has led to the <strong>ECE R90 brake safety regulation approval of R90</strong><br />
Ideal for: <strong>High durability race pad also suitable for street driving</strong>.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/automotive/orangestuff_brake_pads/index.shtml"><strong>Orangestuff</strong></a>:<br />
The <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/automotive/orangestuff_brake_pads/index.shtml"><strong>Orangestuff</strong></a> ranges have had a tweak over the winter and the <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/"><strong>EBC Brakes</strong></a> lab have come up with mods and <strong>improvements to take the <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/automotive/orangestuff_brake_pads/index.shtml">Orange formulation</a> to the next level</strong>. These improvements include:<br />
<strong>Longer wear life by 40-60%</strong><br />
<strong> Better initial Bite</strong><br />
<strong> Better fade resistance at disc temps where rotor was glowing red</strong>.<br />
Ideal for: <strong>Full track use only &#8211; not for highway use</strong>.</p>

<p>Article taken from <strong>Total Honda</strong> May/June 2012 issue page 30.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.ebcbrakesblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/discbeingprocessed.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-7598" title="discbeingprocessed" src="http://www.ebcbrakesblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/discbeingprocessed.jpg" alt="" width="500" height="333" /></a></p>
<blockquote><p>The MD of <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/index.html"><strong>Freeman Automotive Ltd</strong></a> and <a href="http://www.efiltd.co.uk/"><strong>European Friction Limited</strong></a> is Andy Freeman. He is a passionate supporter of making things in Britain. He says</p>
<blockquote><p>The <strong>UK is a fine place to produce products</strong> and <strong>we have never – and will never – sell our soul to somewhere like China</strong>, or cheap hard-to-control overseas manufacture.<br />
There is no need to, as <strong>we are not in the cheap and cheerful end of the market</strong> – <strong>we make more quality and sell to enthusiasts who are seeking better than original parts</strong> at less than original prices.</p>
<p>We compare ourselves to OEM parts,<strong> not cheap aftermarket parts</strong> that squeak, create dust and fade. Many can still include toxic ingredients like asbestos, lead, nickel, antimony and more. We are totally focused on <strong>eco-friendly materials</strong> and are a world pioneer in that field in the brake business.</p></blockquote>
<p>Yes, <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/index.html"><strong>Freeman Automotive</strong></a> and <a href="http://www.efiltd.co.uk/"><strong>EFI</strong> </a>is the company which makes all <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/index.html"><strong>EBC Brakes</strong></a> branded <strong>discs and pads</strong>, one of the <strong>leading names in the aftermarket brake upgrade industry</strong>.<strong> <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/index.html">EBC Brakes</a></strong> products are hugely popular among the tuning fraternity, and we see them on probably 60% of our feature cars. <strong>It’s a major name in the modding game</strong>.</p>
<p>Andy adds:</p>
<blockquote><p>I am the the 100% shareholder of the group. Having served an apprenticeship with Timken years ago, I became involved in brakes in 1978 and now own three companies making <strong>disc pads and brake discs</strong>.</p>
<p>I have been instrumental in the design and manufacture of <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/index.html"><strong>EBC Brakes</strong></a> for over 35 years now and I’m proud to say our company produces the largest range of brakes in the world, fitting everything from mountain bikes to trains. We’re a <strong>big promoter of British manufacturing</strong>, and we now produce over 86% of everything we sell in the UK or USA plants and export over 75% of everything we make. The Freeman group employs close to 400 people with an annual global turnover in excess of $100 million.</p></blockquote>
<p>The only parts <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/index.html"><strong>FA</strong></a>/<a href="http://www.efiltd.co.uk/"><strong>EFI</strong></a> makes in the US are <strong>sintered metal parts for motorcycles</strong>. The companies main drivers are <strong>pads and discs for cars and motorcycles</strong>, and there is no plan to deviate from that <strong>award winning formula</strong> in the years ahead.</p>
<p>All development of the <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/index.html"><strong>EBC Brakes</strong></a> products is done in house. Andy explains:</p>
<blockquote><p>We have an R&amp;D manager, Steve Payne, who is the top name in his field. He has three staff in an R&amp;D lab, which houses <strong>five dynamometers for brake testing</strong>. We research, make and blend all our own chemicals and pad compounds.</p>
<p>Our products have rigorous in-house testing, field-testing and then finally <strong>ECE R 90 brake safety testing</strong> at the MIRA test ground, in Nuneaton, before going to market.</p></blockquote>
<p>Things are looking good for<strong> <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/index.html">EBC Brakes</a></strong> parent company, which has been Plimsoll rated as one of Britain’s <strong>fastest growing and most successful businesses</strong>, as well as <strong>outright segment leader in its engineering</strong> category, among other awards.</p>
<blockquote><p>We’re always expanding, winning numerous awards for growth and profitability – we expanded 11% overall in 2011, and we expect to beat that figure in 2012,</p></blockquote>
<p>Andy explains.</p>
<p>So <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/index.html"><strong>EBC Brakes</strong></a> are on a high. Andy concludes:</p>
<blockquote><p>We are ISO-approved company with excellent quality controls and we intend to stay in the high-end brake market. We have just moved into our £9 million Northampton facility, which allowed us to expand into pressing our own steel backing plates, and we are now the <strong>only UK factory licensed as an NRS-NUCAP production facility</strong>, allowing us to produce backing plates using patented NRS system<a href="http://nucap.com/products/backing-plates/nrs"><strong> http://nucap.com/products/backing-plates/nrs</strong></a></p></blockquote>

<p><a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/index.html"><strong>EBC Brakes</strong></a> sister company <a href="http://www.efiltd.co.uk/"><strong>EFI</strong></a> is supplying the <strong>brake pads</strong> for the <strong>DLR expansion</strong> in preparation for the increased traffic during the <strong>London 2012 Olympic Games</strong>.</p>
<p>Euro Transport Magazine has recently featured an article</p>
<blockquote><p>RAIL AND MASS TRANSIT DISC <strong>BRAKE TECHNOLOGY, DESIGNED, TESTED AND MANUFACTURED IN THE UK</strong>.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.efiltd.co.uk/"><strong>EFI</strong></a> or <a href="http://www.efiltd.co.uk/"><strong>European Friction Industries</strong></a> as it is known is the <strong>UK’s leading independent friction material designer and manufacturer</strong> located in Bristol UK.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.efiltd.co.uk/"><strong>EFI</strong></a> is derived from over 60 years of history in the <strong>manufacturer of brake friction</strong> and is a specialist in <strong>heavy vehicle brake</strong> materials for Truck, Bus, Transit and Rail applications.</p>
<p><strong>Manufacturing in the UK</strong> the <strong>largest range of disc pad designs</strong>, many with <strong>UIC approval</strong> for Rail and Rapid Transit the <a href="http://www.efiltd.co.uk/"><strong>EFI</strong></a> product has been used as OE fitment and aftermarket on numerous projects such as Washington, Sacramento and Denver in the USA and Docklands (DLR) and Tyne &amp; Wear Metro in the UK.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.efiltd.co.uk/"><strong>EFI</strong></a> is supplying the <strong>brake pads</strong> for the <strong>DLR expansion</strong> in preparation for the increased traffic during the <strong>London 2012 Olympic Games</strong>. Recently <a href="http://www.efiltd.co.uk/"><strong>EFI</strong></a> concluded a 5 year DTI joint project to develop the world first <strong>totally environmentally friendly brake friction material</strong> called <strong>ECOBRAKE</strong> which has delivered a very successful brake material that <strong>eliminates toxic dust waste, extends pad and disc operating life and improves performance</strong>.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.efiltd.co.uk/"><strong>EFI</strong></a> boast 5 dynamometers for its test work including a scale one-to-one Rail Dyno which was acquired from British Rail and is one of the only full scale dynamometer in Europe. With such expertise <a href="http://www.efiltd.co.uk/"><strong>EFI</strong></a> is looking to expand its partner agreements with new Rail and RT operators, Industrial or truck brake users and invites enquiries to Tony Prideaux on <strong><a href="mailto:Tonyp@efiltd.co.uk">Tonyp@efiltd.co.uk</a></strong>.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.efiltd.co.uk/"><strong>EFI</strong></a> also pioneered and patented a Cartridge converter for <strong>Budd Caliper brakes</strong> with Via Rail in Canada.</p></blockquote>
<p><a href="http://www.efiltd.co.uk/"><strong>EFI</strong></a> currently produces a wide range of <strong>long lasting <a href="http://www.efiltd.co.uk/our_products/rail_brake_pads.shtml">railway brakes</a></strong> including:</p>
<ul>
<li><a href="http://www.efiltd.co.uk/our_products/rail_brake_pads.shtml"><strong>E308</strong></a>, the <a href="http://www.efiltd.co.uk/our_products/rail_brake_pads.shtml"><strong>E308</strong></a> is an <strong>asbestos free <a href="http://www.efiltd.co.uk/our_products/rail_brake_pads.shtml">railway brake</a></strong>, organic based material developed for applications with a <strong>maximum speed of 120km/h</strong>.If your looking for <strong>the best long lasting disc life</strong>, the <a href="http://www.efiltd.co.uk/our_products/rail_brake_pads.shtml"><strong>E308</strong></a> material gives <strong>better disc life and cleaner operation</strong> than the equivalent metallic based materials.</li>
<li><a href="http://www.efiltd.co.uk/our_products/rail_brake_pads.shtml"><strong>E349</strong></a>, the <a href="http://www.efiltd.co.uk/our_products/rail_brake_pads.shtml"><strong>E349</strong></a> is an <strong>asbestos free <a href="http://www.efiltd.co.uk/our_products/rail_brake_pads.shtml">railway brake</a></strong> material developed for applications with a <strong>maximum speed of 140 km/h</strong>. The <a href="http://www.efiltd.co.uk/our_products/rail_brake_pads.shtml"><strong>E401</strong></a> is therefore the best for use on <strong>high speed Inter City passenger coaches, suburban multiple units</strong> and <strong>freight vehicles</strong> <strong>braking from speeds of 200km/h</strong>.</li>
</ul>
<p><a href="http://www.efiltd.co.uk/"><strong>EFI</strong></a> doesn’t just manufacture <a href="http://www.efiltd.co.uk/our_products/rail_brake_pads.shtml"><strong>brake pads for railway</strong></a>, <a href="http://www.efiltd.co.uk/"><strong>EFI</strong> </a>produces a wide <strong>variety of brake pads</strong> for almost <strong>every type of vehicle</strong> so if your business procures:</p>

<li><strong>Brakes for coaches</strong>,</li>
<li><strong>Brakes for buses</strong>.</li>
</ul>
<p><a href="http://www.efiltd.co.uk/"><strong>EFI</strong></a> produces these, and produces them to the <strong>highest possible standard</strong> and the <strong>highest quality is guaranteed</strong> as all of our <strong>disc pads are approved to Regulation 90</strong> and carry the <strong>&#8220;E&#8221; mark</strong>.</p>

Foremost Insurance Group/Pegram Racing team rode into Braselton, GA for the <strong>Superbike</strong> Road Atlanta race. Team owner and rider Larry Pegram had a strong showing, ending the weekend with a fifth place finish.</p>
<p>Pegram Racing team use <strong><a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/index.html">EBC Brakes</a> <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/motorcycle_brake/sintered_brake_pads/gpfa-brake-pads/index.shtml">GPFA brake pads</a></strong> on their BMW S1000RR <strong>Superbike</strong>. The <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/motorcycle_brake/sintered_brake_pads/gpfa-brake-pads/index.shtml"><strong>GPFA brake pad</strong></a> range from <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/index.html"><strong>EBC Brakes</strong></a>, are a race only <strong>brake pad</strong> making ideal for <strong>superbike</strong> racing.</p>

<p>The <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/motorcycle_brake/sintered_brake_pads/gpfa-brake-pads/index.shtml"><strong>GPFA brake pads</strong></a> have <strong>too much grip for street use</strong> but the <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/motorcycle_brake/sintered_brake_pads/extreme_pro_brake_pads/index.shtml"><strong>EPFA brake pads</strong></a> are <strong>safe for street use</strong> and have superb fade resistance and modulation making them<strong> good-to-excellent on the track</strong>.</p>
<blockquote><p>Road Atlanta is a challenging track and Saturday was a struggle for our team. I had some issues with the bike, I ran off track and bent both wheels resulting in a stop to change the wheels,</p></blockquote>
<p>said Pegram.</p>
<blockquote><p>However, Sunday proved to be successful and we felt good about the strong finish in the end.</p></blockquote>
<p>Pegram finished twelfth on Saturday. However, he finished strong on Sunday with a fifth place finish in race 2. He started out <strong>fast and with heavy braking</strong> in turn 10, held off Steve Rapp, Chris Fillmore and Taylor Knapp who were all hot on his heels.</p>
<blockquote><p><strong>The bike was great on the brakes</strong> thanks to my Foremost crew and my new <strong><a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/index.html">EBC Brakes</a> <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/motorcycle_brake/sintered_brake_pads/gpfa-brake-pads/index.shtml">GPFA brake pads</a></strong>.</p></blockquote>

<blockquote><p>The weekend at Donington was particularly important for us, as we really needed a good result following the disappointment at the first round of the season at Oulton Park, where Ade was involved in an incident at the first corner of the first lap after some contact from behind. This left him right at the back of the field with damage to the bodywork and suspension, but despite this he managed to salvage 16th position, just in front of his dad, Simon, who finished 17th.</p></blockquote>

<p><strong><a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/index.html">EBC Brakes</a> <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/automotive/yellowstuff_brake_pads/yellowstuff_brake_pads_4000_index.shtml">Yellowstuff brake pads</a></strong> are a <strong>high friction brake pad</strong> but very resistant to heat, and loads of <strong>heavy braking</strong> means that <strong><a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/index.html">EBC Brakes</a> <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/automotive/yellowstuff_brake_pads/yellowstuff_brake_pads_4000_index.shtml">Yellowstuff brake pads</a></strong> have been used with great success in race cars.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/index.html">EBC Brakes</a> <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/automotive/yellowstuff_brake_pads/yellowstuff_brake_pads_4000_index.shtml">Yellowstuff brake pads</a></strong> are an aramid fibre based brake compound with <strong>high brake</strong> effect from cold, when <strong><a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/index.html">EBC Brakes</a> <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/automotive/yellowstuff_brake_pads/yellowstuff_brake_pads_4000_index.shtml">Yellowstuff brake pads</a></strong> see some heat they really show their pedigree. On Japanese cars built with lower friction FF rated<strong> brake pads</strong> these deliver a full grade higher stopping and on German cars built with GG these are about the only aftermarket <strong>brake pads</strong> that will match or beat the pretty good German OE spec <strong>brake pads</strong> and that takes some doing. <strong></strong></p>
<p>When considering <strong>full race brake pads</strong>, <strong><a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/index.html">EBC Brakes</a> <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/automotive/yellowstuff_brake_pads/yellowstuff_brake_pads_4000_index.shtml">Yellowstuff brake pads</a></strong> has been a strong favourite because of its <strong>huge heat range</strong>, the applications where <strong><a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/index.html">EBC Brakes</a> <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/automotive/yellowstuff_brake_pads/yellowstuff_brake_pads_4000_index.shtml">Yellowstuff brake pads</a></strong> will deliver benefits range from fastest street use on higher horsepower sedans to Trackday and Race use on most street based cars.</p>

<blockquote><p>Before Donington we spent a lot of time repairing and preparing Ade&#8217;s car, and made some set-up changes to the suspension. Qualifying at Donington went very well, Ade was looking to be on pole until the very last lap when David Marcussen managed to improve on Ade&#8217;s best time, meaning Ade started 2nd on the grid for the race. Simon qualified 18th which he was happy with, as he had also made some suspension changes and was getting used to the handling of the car.</p>
<p>Ade got a very good start off the line and managed to get a nose ahead of Marcussen, but Marcussen had the inside line for first corner so Ade slotted back into 2nd. Some drama behind the leading pair slowed up the rest of the field, meaning that Ade and Marcussen made a break and spent the entire race battling it out between themselves. Ade gained the lead a few times during the race but Marcussen had the upper hand down the straights. Ade crossed the line just 0.249 sec behind Marcussen and was pleased with 2nd place.</p>
<p>Simon had an enjoyable race and managed to keep Thomas Moseley behind him until clutch problems meant that he was unable to change gear, leaving the car stuck in 4th gear. Nevertheless he managed to finish 14th. After Donington Ade is 8th position overall, and Simon is 15th out of a total of 29 drivers.</p>
<p>The next round is a double header Cadwell Park on 13th May, which is one of our favourite circuits, so we will definitely be hoping for another strong finish to be in with a chance of the championship title.</p>

Team G-Baby travelled to the Carolina Motorsports Park in Kershaw South Carolina for the ASRA Team Challenge 3rd Round.</p>
<p>The <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/"><strong>EBC Brakes</strong></a> sponsored team G-Baby finished the GTL Class in 2nd place. Team G-Baby use <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/"><strong>EBC Brakes</strong></a> <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/motorcycle_brake/sintered_brake_pads/extreme_pro_brake_pads/extreme-pro.shtml"><strong>EPFA-HH Extreme Pro Brake Pads</strong></a>; the <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/motorcycle_brake/sintered_brake_pads/extreme_pro_brake_pads/extreme-pro.shtml"><strong>EPFA-HH Extreme Pro Brake Pads</strong></a> are available for all <strong>modern sportbikes</strong> and <strong>road racing</strong> fitments. <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/"><strong>EBC Brakes</strong></a> <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/motorcycle_brake/sintered_brake_pads/extreme_pro_brake_pads/extreme-pro.shtml"><strong>EPFA-HH Extreme Pro Brake Pad</strong></a> material <strong>heat cycles better</strong>, feels <strong>better at the brake lever</strong>, <strong>last longer</strong> and <strong>beds in faster</strong>.<br />
Boasting the <strong>highest friction rating</strong> possible, at a huge 0.6 the <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/motorcycle_brake/sintered_brake_pads/extreme_pro_brake_pads/extreme-pro.shtml"><strong>EPFA-HH Extreme Pro Brake Pads</strong></a> sintered blend includes, Molybdenum metal and tungsten additives to <strong>enhance lifetime and performance</strong>.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.ebcbrakesblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Nicole.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-7523" title="Nicole" src="http://www.ebcbrakesblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Nicole.jpg" alt="" width="500" height="334" /></a></p>
<blockquote><p>The Carolina Motorsports Park is a new track for the team, requiring a lot of extra work. CMP is an 18-hour drive from the G-Baby home base. We chose to travel light leaving the team trailer in Kansas for this one to save expenses (this is going to be a long summer). We brought only the bare essentials for the event. Sponsor MPH Bikes was the servicing Perilli dealer for the event and offered to help, with pit support and a spare practice bike. Thank you very much Chris and Cory from MPH for all your help this weekend!</p>
<p>On the grid ready to roll. Jim got a GREAT launch and is with the 600&#8242;s into T1. Lap 20 pushing very hard between T13 and T14. Feeling <strong>very confident</strong> on his <strong><a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/">EBC Brakes</a> <a href="http://www.ebcbrakes.com/motorcycle_brake/sintered_brake_pads/extreme_pro_brake_pads/extreme-pro.shtml">EPFA-HH Extreme Pro Brake Pads</a></strong>, Jim starts a very <strong>late braking</strong> move for T14, a 110 degree right turn out to the front straight. Running out of track and needing to go right immediately he eases the braking and he asks for more than the front end can give. The G-Baby front starts to tuck under with front wheel sliding and is going down on the right side. Jim saves the front using his knee and smoothly pulling the bars up, and then continues down the front straight.</p>
<p>At lap 27 Jim turns the bike over to Nicole. With a new volunteer crew we gain 1:10 back from GMB in the pit. We give back 30 seconds for a pit penalty. Nicole did great. She stepped up her game keeping the G-Baby SV650 moving forward. She ran 30 laps, handled the penalty flag like a pro, and brought the G-Baby home with consistent smooth laps like always.</p>
<p>G-Baby would like to thank our crew who stepped up at the last minute to help us:<br />
Cory Huff &#8211; Fuel-man<br />
Alfredo Braca &#8211; Spill Control<br />
Stepano Braca &#8211; Fireman<br />
Chris Jenson &#8211; Rear Stand</p></blockquote>
