September 2011

Tucker Rocky Dealer Show
To start the month of August off I flew out to Dallas for the Tucker Rocky Dealer Expo. Every year Tucker Rocky flys in a couple of their athletes to hang out and do a meet and greet with their customers. This year I was joined by fellow Speed and Strength athletes Bill Dixon and Dystany Spurlock along with a handful of other various Tucker athletes. The dealer show was well attended and I had a good time meeting with dealers across the country. This is one of the events I always look forward to every year.

Perris Speedway Perris, CA
Perris Speedway
The weekend after the Tucker Rocky dealer show I headed out to Perris Speedway for a Pro Flat Track Race. After being off the flat track bike for a couple of weeks it felt good to swing a leg back
over the 450. I started the night off a little slow but before it was over I managed to finish in 4th place in the Pro Main Event.

Victorsville Flat Track Race
No one ever forgets their first, and I will not forget my first Flat Track win! I have only raced a handful of Flat Track races so winning this quickly was a surprise and a special moment for me! The racing was great all weekend and there were a lot of talented riders on the grid. It is always good to get out there and spin some laps and get more comfortable on the bike. I have really been
noticing an improvement on my streetbike as a result of all the flat track and moto riding.

XDL Round 5 Indianapolis, IN
Once again Indy held the finals for the XDL national points series. And once again the event and crowds in Indianapolis were off the charts. The weekend was a little rough for me as I took myself
out in my favorite event the Racing 905 Speed and Style. After jumping out to an early lead in the first round I hit a cone during the wheelie section and had to set down. I still ended the year winning three of five of the Racing 905 Speed and style events on the year. I rode to second place in the Wheelie Teach Wheelie Race. I won two of five of the Wheelie Races on the Year. I rode well though out the year in Individual Freestyle placing a solid top ten in points. I rode two great runs in Indy pushing really hard to find a podium spot, but due to an injury I was unable to ride the third round thus keeping me off the podium for the weekend. As the year winds down I am excited for the off season so that I can start to train for next year s title chase. This year has been a year of ups and downs for me in competition but I vow to come back next year and put myself on the top of the podium in a couple of stops.

RedBull Military Tour
FT. Knox, KY

Another beautiful stop on the RedBull Military Tour this time at the legendary Fort Knox! The base was as great as I had heard! The trops were great and RedBull came out in full force setting up tents and bringing out the wings team. The base set up some tents of their own and were feeding anyone who would stop by and hang out! The attendance was good and I hope to make it back here next year!

The month of August flew by so fast I barely had time to remember all of the greeat things that happened. Looking forward to September I am going to be really busy with a show program that is going to take me coast to coast and end up with me performing shows in Hawaii for the RedBull Military Tour at the end of the year. Ill be heading to the midwest to do a show at Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri and 29 Palms in California. I will also be doing some dealer shows in the San Bernadino area. If and when I get some down time this month I will be on the pedal bike and the dirt bike doing some cross training!
