ATV brake pads and brake rotors produce excellent results in victories for Team Epic using EBC brakes

OMA Pro-ATV Nationals
Round six of the OMA Pro-ATV Nationals traveled to Millville Minnesota to the famous Spring Creek MX Park. Team Epic Racing’s John Pitts pull off his third straight win followed by teammate and closest competitor in the standings Bryan Hulsey. These two have solidified themselves as the standard in the 2011 OMA Nationals.

Grabbing the hole shot, Hot Rods/Hot Cams/Pivot Work’s John Pitts rounds a corner heading to the MX portion of the track. The Duncan Racing/Vee Rubber sponsored rider claimed his third straight win in the OMA Pro-ATV Nationals for 2011.

Moose Racing’s/Precision Stabilizers/Maxima Oils backed Bryan Hulsey fought hard to close the early gap from a dismal start that his teammate (Pitts) built up, but time was not on his side and he finished 20 seconds behind for 2nd overall on the day at Spring Creek MX Park.

Missouri State OXC Championship Series
August 6th had Team Epic Racing traveling to Cairo Missouri for the second to last round of the Missouri State OXC Championship Series. This Championship Series has also been dominated from the beginning of the season by the two teammates of Hulsey and Pitts. This race was no different. The two established themselves as the leaders quickly and put on the best race of the year for the OXC spectators as the lead seemed to change a couple of times each lap. In the end Hulsey took the win only 1 second ahead of a hard charging Pitts.

Hiper Wheels/JE Pistons/Smith Optics’ Bryan Hulsey jumped out to an early lead at Cairo Missouri and the battle was on for the win. Spectators said that they would have never known that these two were teammates and friends the way they battled and banged off each other to the end. Hulsey ended the day with a slight one second gap on Pitts for the win.

Maier Mfg’s/Rekluse Clutch/Bosch Tools sponsored John Pitts fought hard and finished the day in second place as the teammates put on quite a show for fellow racers and spectators alike!

August 20 was the 10 Hour Heartland Challenge in Carlisle Iowa
Team Epic Racing came to the 10 hour heartland challenge to defend their Pro-Am title and 3rd overall from 2010. What they didn’t plan on were a couple of gremlins that seemed to pluck away at them over the course of the race. They had fallen back to as far as 5th in their class at one time, but their never give up attitude and determination pulled them back to 2nd place Pro-Am and 5th overall by the end of the 10 hours of grueling racing.

Quadtech/EBC Brakes/Exit Shocks backed John Pitts brings the team ride in from a valiant charge that brought them back to within striking distance of the class leaders

John Pitts hands off the ODI Grips/ Motion Pro/RK Chains backed quad to Bryan Hulsey around the time it is starting to get dark. The darkness was illuminated by PIAA Lights which is now fully behind Team Epic Racing for future races as well.

The Missouri State OXC Championship comes down to the last round
September 3rd saw the final round of the 2011 OXC Championship be decided at Mountain View Missouri. As the Pro class took off, Team Epic Racing’s Hulsey and Pitts were in 2nd and 3rd respectfully. Hulsey took advantage early of a mistake by the early leader and grabbed the lead and ultimately holding onto it all the way to the finish. Pitts fought hard, but would eventually fall victim to the extremely dusty and rough conditions and slip back to his only non-Podium finish of the season with a fourth place on the day which would be his throw out race for the season. In the end by winning the final race, Hulsey would emerge with the Missouri State OXC Championship by a 1 point margin over his teammate Pitts.

JE Pistons/K&N Filters/Liquid Performance’s John Pitts tries to fight through the dusty and rocky terrain of southern Missouri in an attempt to win the Missouri State OXC Championship. In the end it would be Team Epic Racing finishing 1st an 2nd on the year with Hulsey 1st and Pitts finishing in 2nd.

Local WFO series race
Sunday September 4th John Pitts traveled to Plainview Illinois for a Local WFO series race. He got the hole shot and lead for a half a lap when he got caught up in some trees and fell all the way to the back of the pack. From there he had some ground to make up and was able to make some passes on the extremely dusty track by taking advantage of some creek sections and some grass sections and eventually retook the lead and held it to the end of the race. At the finish he had over a 5 minute lead over 2nd place.

Vee Rubber Tires/Hiper Wheels/Kal-gard sponsored Pitts makes it look easy coming from the back of the pack to take the win an the WFO series race in Plainview Illinois.
