Brakes for Harley Davidson made by EBC deliver race wins again for Jared Mees on his XR750. American made EBC series GPFA sintered pads are the best aftermarket brakes you can buy for fast street, for longest life and even win races for people according to Jared Mees. EBC PFA series pads are available at all quality dealers for race use along with the long lasting silent EPFA series for heavy street cruiser applications.

Jared Mees: 2011 Champion – Singles and Twins American All Star/Hot Shoe Flat Track
Jared Mees has won both classes of the 2011 All Star series. Next to the AMA Grand National Championship series, the All Star is the series raced by more of the National-numbered riders. Steve Nace Racing, the Promoter, tries to schedule the races in as close proximity as possible to those of the Grand National series, giving fans and riders an extra day of racing. For instance, prior to GNC’s first flat track races of the year in Daytona, All Star holds a couple of half-miles, first in Savannah GA and then in Barberville FL. In the All Star series, whenever the track is a half mile, both the 450cc Singles and the 750 cc Twins classes are run, whereas in the Grand Nationals only one class is raced on a given day.
Commenting on his Championship, Mees credited EBC products with playing a major role. “EBC Brakes gave me the edge I needed to win, not only the two 2011 All Star Championships, but also to win three GNC races this year, so far, including the first one, the biggest and most prestigious race in the series, the Springfield Mile.
“Since we run rear brakes mostly”, Mees continued, “except for the TT events which have at least one right-hand jump and one right-hander turn, we really have to rely on our brakes. At over 100 hp on my XR 750 Harley Davidson, I would recommend using only EBC Brakes. Dirt Track racing lap times are very fast and we do not have the many corners of Road Racing or Motorcross. Therefore, we have to really pay attention to getting our hole shots, making sure we get good starts. My bikes also now have the new EBC Clutch, virtually guaranteeing me a great start. This is vital in order to clinch the GNC Championship. At this time, after 11 rounds, which is about half-way, I stand 2nd in the Combined Championship, only 3 points behind the leader. In the Twins series, I am in 1st place. So, thank you, EBC, you do make the difference!”
