Yellowstuff brakes by EBC for Mighty Mini’s are a winner for Ade Tuckley

The Mighty Minis were at Snetterton this weekend for a double header. I finished 4th yesterday and won today’s race!
Race 1:
I qualified 5th which I was pleased with as I had an electrical fault during the session which meant I had to pit, but managed to get back out for a few laps after I’d fixed it. In the race I got a good start and beat Louise Inch off the line which put me straight up to 4th. After a few laps the front 2 managed to break away while the rest of us jostled for position. In the end none of us managed to catch the front 2 but the battle for 3rd place was very close and I finished 4th, just 0.1 of a second behind Mark Burnett in 3rd. I did get fastest lap of the race on the last lap.
Race 2:
I started this race in 4th and made a place on the first lap, and by lap 5 I’d made it into 2nd place. Down the back straight I slip-streamed passed Chris Slade to take the lead which I held until lap 9, where Chris Slade re-took the lead and Louise Inch followed in his slip-stream which dropped me back to 3rd. Louise then made a mistake on lap 10 at the last corner which gave me 2nd place back, and then on the last lap I overtook Chris Slade down the back straight to put me back in the lead. Coming into the last corner he attempted a last-second dive up the inside but came in too fast, hopped the mini over the high curb and put it right up onto 2 wheels. Somehow I managed to miss him and got a good view of the underside of his car, and won the race by 0.2 of a second to Peter Tervet. Chris Slade managed not to roll his car and finished 7th.
Good brakes were required at this circuit for the new hairpin and the Yellowstuff brake pads were definitely up to the job.
Thanks for your support.
