Best brakes for a mini by EBC make a close winner of Ade Tuckley at Oulton Park

At Oulton Park on Saturday Adrian (Ade) Tuckley won the first Round of the Mighty Mini Championship by 0.14 second after 20 minutes of racing in his EBC Yellowstuff brake pads equipped car. Ade sent us a race report of the close won event below:

I qualified 3rd and didn’t get the best start, went straight back to 5th. I went back to 6th on lap 2 but retook 5th place at the end of lap 2. We were struggling with a slipping clutch during qualifying and the race. The top 8 places were all very close with positions changing all the time. Luckily the clutch held out and I managed to battle my way through to take the lead for last 3 laps.
Despite the very close racing the car didn’t sustain any damage apart from losing a bumper.
