Joe Cotterino says EBC’s EPFA Brake pads are excellent!
I run a pair of Superbike spec 2001 Suzuki SV650s in the Championship Cup Series (CCS).
In 2009, I decided to try something new. I wanted to try EBC Brakes new EPFA brake pads. I was sure glad I did. This compound is excellent. I like a pad that has a little less initial bite but a constant, high and predictable coefficient of friction. These EPFA pads fit the bill.
I found that they bed in quickly and provide excellent feel throughout their service life. They have awesome stopping power that found me modulating the brakes at well over 100mph to keep the rear wheel on the ground. I never experienced any brake fade whatsoever even on the brake intensive, VIR North circuit. This tells me that the heat transmission is handled quite well by these pads.As the 2010 season developed, I found that my underpowered bike required me to exploit its strengths in braking and cornering. EBC’s EPFA brake pads were a serious factor in my being able to brake deeper into the corner and pass under brakes over and over again. In some races, it would happen over and over again, lap after lap. I would be passed on the straight only to retake the position into turn one. Between my EBC rotors and the EPFA brake pads, I was able to dominate on the brakes.
With the help of EBC Brakes rotors and pads, I was able to win six championships in 2010 as well as secure the #8 plate overall.
We will be on mission again next year, using EBC’s EPFA brake pads. I see no need to change when you have the best!
Thanks EBC Brakes for great, quality products that really work!

EBC Extreme Pro™
The latest in sintered metal fusion technology is now available for all modern sportbikes and road race fitments from the high tech EBC plant in Cleveland Ohio USA.
Our research lab has been working over the last year to improve certain aspects of our sintered pad range for roadracing and have come up with some interesting new materials. The new Extreme Pro range has been dyno tested, race track tested, road tested and was used by 8 of the top 20 riders in the Daytona 200 races in Spring 2008. The new material heat cycles better, feels better at the brake lever, last longer and beds in faster.
Extreme Pro pads are ideal for faster street bikes and race bikes alike but as they include many new additives and slower manufaturing processes they are more expensive and target the no compromise rider or race team. Click here to see further details
