Superb Braking power with EBC Brakes for Jeff Jones, Drift Racer.
Another weekend of hard racing is now behind us. Rd.6 at Sonoma was one more step in the right direction. Our team qualified in 29th position. This put us up against Ryan Tuerck, a major player finishing 2nd overall in points for the championship last year. The main show on Saturday had a full house. As the top 32 moved on, it was our time to play. For the fist lap I was the follow car. Charging down the hill at 90+ mph I started my drift just feet behind Ryan. Coming up to the hair pin my car was rubbing Ryan’s car, staying on throttle out of the hair pin and back up the hill we went.

I knew that I did a great job leading but with Ryan following on the next lap I needed a clean lap to get the win. So again down the hill we went with entry speeds still exceeded 90 mph. Shooting through the hair pin I had put a gap between us. Returning up the hill and through the last drift I thought I might just have this one. At the grid waiting for the results it was decided that Ryan Tuerck would get the win. I was penalized or deducted points for coming in contact him. I was hart broken but that’s how the sport goes. Thank you to EBC Brakes and my crew for your help. See you at Formula Drift Rd7 Irwindale.
Best regards,
Jeff Jones
