British EBC brakes help US Driver on Independence day
The 2116 Compound continues to impress. I’ve actually been driving with them for a while on the street since work obligations are keeping me from even low speed track events. I’ve had the chance to hit a few autocrosses, though, the most recent one being today, July 4th. Yeah, we’ll use any excuse to drive and Independence Day is just as good an excuse as any. Even if it is 97 degrees (somewhere between 35-40C for you Euro types) and so humid you need an aqualung to breath outside.Anyway, the Bluestuff Brakes did not just keep impressing me, they impressed the folks I took for rides. They did not expect such a big car to have so much braking power without having biggers aftermarket brakes.
Try to ignore the horrible understeer in the video. I was driving sloppy all day. But at the end of the run, I broke too late. Even with only about 3/4 pedal the Bluestuff Brakes slowed all two tons of War Goat enough to kept me out of the weeds and trees.
So, British pads saved a Yank in an Aussie car on Independence day.
