Greg Melka Wins 2nd place overall CCS South East Plate despite braking his arm!
Superbike ‘EBC Hero Racer’ Greg Melka has managed to accomplish 2nd place overall position in the CCS South East region despite breaking his arm late in the season. 1 week before the final race of the season that is held at VIR, which is a double point round,he had an unfortunate accident while dirtbike riding. He fracturing the upper humerous along with major dislocation. He was then not able to have high enough finishes to hold on to the #1 overall positon even having a 220 point lead going into that round, and leading all 6 of the classes competed in all season. Although Greg missed the overall championship by 25 points, he did hold on to 5 of the 6 class championships. (GTU, Middleweight SuperSport, Heavyweight SuperSport, Heavyweight Superbike and Middleweight Grand Prix).
Greg had surgery last week on his upper humerous and will be all set for next season. Mend well soon Greg! : )
