Just an update on young Roy. We have had our fair share of machine problems this year with engines dropping valves etc but we have got most of that sorted now with new engines etc.
Roy took his first win of the season on the 600 at East Fortune approx 6 weeks ago after finishing on the podium a number of times.
Last weekend at Knockhill it all came together really well and Roy rode brilliantly against a full grid of 35 similar machines, qualified on P2 and then went on to claim a hat trick of vicotories which is an oustanding performance, especially as most of the competition have been riding there similar machines for a number of years.
Your EBC brakes stood up to the test of the “ultimate” late breaking techniques going into the hairpin where he made the most of his passes, and also the fact he was always able to brake later than others, a true testimonial to EBC stopping power.
Roy and his dad Eric and myself are truly thankfull in the support you have given us this year, your stickers and badges are all prominetly displayed on machine, race truck and team shirts and we hope that the advertising helps EBC sell loads of product, they are brilliant.
I will have young Roy send pics etc and keep you posted with the rest of his years results, once again sorry about late report, but man, it was hard going to get this bike right at the begining, hopefully all thet is behind us now and we can look forward to more “top steps” on the podium.
